The User Experience Design Lead is responsible for defining and enhancing the overall appearance and functionality of all customer-facing platforms such as the company's website, medical education platform, customer portal and e-commerce platforms - ensuring a seamless user experience. This pivotal role plays a crucial part in enhancing customer satisfaction, lowering bounce rate, driving engagement and optimising the overall digital customer journey.
What will you be doing?
1. Develop and execute the design and concept of the evolving global UX pattern library for a seamless user experience across the website and connected, customer-facing digital platforms.
2. Be part of the global S+N.com web team, closely working together with the Web Customer Experience Director as well as with regional stakeholders, internal designers, external design agencies and development teams.
3. Manage the evolving UX pattern library, helping to define state-of-the-art UX as well as dynamic content and document it in lean guidelines.
4. Design the customer experience vision, ensuring alignment with the company's brand values and business objectives as well as technical possibilities.
5. Educate and support the internal organisation in best practices for user-friendly processes and dynamic web content.
6. Identify and understand customer needs and preferences to inform the design and optimisation of the online user experience.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer services, Global IT and design to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
What you will need to be successful?
8. Demonstrate an exceptional proficiency in creating, enhancing, and managing design systems within Figma, showcasing a deep understanding of design principles and best practices.
9. Display a strong command of atomic design principles and preferably Storybook.js, illustrating the ability to structure and maintain scalable design systems effectively.
10. Possess a good understanding of user-centered design principles and UX-specific methods and tools, utilizing this knowledge to create intuitive and user-friendly digital experiences.
11. Show familiarity with typical design, motion, and illustration tools, enabling effective collaboration with design teams and the creation of engaging visual content.
12. Exhibit experience in conceptual design and optimization of advanced WCMS (e.g., Sitecore or AEM), marketing campaigns, and customer portals projects, highlighting the ability to deliver impactful digital solutions.
13. Demonstrate a good understanding of modern frontend development practices, ensuring designs are technically feasible and optimized for performance.
14. Showcase knowledge of state-of-the-art web content creation processes and marketing tactics, contributing to the development of engaging and effective digital strategies.
