Chef Manager
We are recruiting for a Chef Manager who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The Chef Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, staff management, stock ordering and control, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for patients, staff and visitors.
With a combination of culinary expertise, leadership and a passion for high-quality food and service, the Chef Manager oversees the kitchen’s efficiency, adherence to food safety, health and safety standards, and collaborates with the Food Production Manager, Compliance Officer, supervisors, ward managers, housekeepers, administrators, chefs and catering staff.
Candidates who are successful will be required to undertake a trade test, preparing a basic recipe on site; suitable chef white dress must be brought for the assessment.

The role requires managing and controlling resources effectively in accordance with the Trust’s SFI’s/ SO’s and other policies, and facilitating appropriate training for yourself and your staff to meet the requirements of the position.
All staff should carry out their duties safely, efficiently and cost‑effectively in line with agreed employment policies.
The Chef Manager will assist the Food Production Manager to ensure staff receive sufficient and appropriate induction and training to undertake their tasks, evaluate training effectiveness and provide corrective coaching as necessary.
