Barnet, North London Job Title: Head of KS2 and Teacher Location: Barnet, London Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: April 2025 The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Key Stage 2 team, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, and contributing to the overall development of the school.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the KS2 team, providing support and guidance to staff. Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to raise standards and improve pupil outcomes. Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within KS2.
Teach a KS2 class, delivering engaging and challenging lessons. Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to drive school improvement. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
Engage with parents and the wider community to support pupil development. Person Specification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of successful teaching in KS2. Experience in a leadership role within a primary school setting.
Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate staff and pupils.
