Post No. POSN Service Support Officer Communities
Are you an organised and motivated individual with a passion for supporting community services? Newport City Council is seeking a Communities Support Officer to provide vital administrative and financial support to our varied portfolio of services, including Libraries, Community Buildings, and Adult Community Learning.
What You'll Be Doing
* Managing purchase orders, invoices, and financial records.
* Collecting and reporting data to meet grant and regulatory requirements.
* Supporting budget monitoring and performance evaluation.
* Coordinating Freedom of Information requests.
* Providing general office support and supervising a Business Support Assistant.
* Assisting with grant-funded projects and third-sector funding distribution.
What We're Looking For
* 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) and relevant experience in administration and finance.
* Strong IT skills (Outlook, Excel).
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* Supervisory experience and a proactive, positive attitude
