Overview
The Bread Factory is London's leading Artisan Bakery, known for award-winning breads, pastries, and cakes, supplying top-quality products across e-commerce, grocery, food services, and retailers such as our GAIL's Bakeries nationwide. As our teams grow, we seek our next Instructional Designer to join our team on a 6-month contract.
Responsibilities
* Strong grounding in learning design principles (e.g. adult learning theory, blended learning)
* Ability to translate operational/manufacturing processes into structured learning journeys
* Experience designing for different audiences
* Short-form training videos (storyboarding, scripting, working with SMEs)
* Step-by-step "how-to" guides and process training
* Interactive e-learning modules
* Comfortable using external authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar
* Basic video editing skills (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent)
* Hands-on experience with LMS design tools
* Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards
* Ability to work closely with subject matter experts in a manufacturing setting
* Strong communication skills to extract knowledge and turn it into clear learning
* Comfortable challenging and shaping vague or incomplete requirements
* Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or operational environments
* Understanding of compliance, safety, and process-driven training needs

* Develop a library of video, how-to, and e-learning content
* Populate and optimise the LMS for usability and engagement
* Create scalable templates and standards for future content
