Driver Hire Romford is currently recruiting for an Experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to work with a well-established and reputable company. This is a hands-on driving role offering a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Job Specification:
You will be responsible for completing deliveries across London and the surrounding areas, ensuring goods are delivered safely, on time, and in excellent condition. This role requires confidence driving in busy urban environments and providing a professional service to customers.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
0630-1630
Key Responsibilities:
1. Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally
2. Completing deliveries in London and surrounding areas
3. Loading and unloading goods as required
4. Completing vehicle checks and defect reporting
5. Ensuring all paperwork and PODs are completed accurately
6. Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
7. Adhering to all road traffic laws, drivers’ hours, and health & safety regulations
What You Need:
8. Valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence
9. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
10. Previous Class 2 delivery experience (essential)
11. Experience delivering into London and urban areas
12. Good geographical knowledge or confidence using navigation systems
13. Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
14. Reliable, punctual, and professional
15. Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
