We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Product Manager - Loans. Overview: The Unsecured Lending team drives all product lifecycle activities and proposition development for credit cards and personal loans, including customer acquisition, customer journey enhancements, product pricing, retention strategies, existing customer management, marketing and portfolio management, and has full P&L responsibility for these products. The team supports customers with their lending needs across HSBC, M&S Bank, First Direct and John Lewis Financial Services, working with wider Banking and Propositions colleagues, Marketing, Digital, Distribution, Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT, Operations, Global Teams and Card Schemes (Visa and MasterCard). In this role, you will be: • Responsible for Personal Loans acquisition delivery • Supporting with the development and delivery of the Loans Strategy and Annual Operating Plans. • Using insights and a data driven approach to propose and deliver business recommendations to drive performance. • Monitoring that the financial performance of each product meets business requirements and amend where necessary, to ensure financial viability and profitability of the Card / Personal Loans. • Working with a wide range of stakeholders including wider Banking and Propositions colleagues, Marketing, Digital, Distribution, Risk, Finance, CRM & Analytics, Compliance, Legal, IT and Transformation • Driving pre-eligibility and pre-approval commercialisation across Unsecured Lending Requirements To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: • Previous experience in Retail Banking. Experience of Credit Risk and aggregator channels would be particularly beneficial. • Highly experienced in the use of Excel and confident working with formulas and pivot tables. • Able to translate data and analysis into compelling insights and recommendations; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences. • Able to create, develop and deliver initiatives and projects that generate incremental revenue and profit to our business area; • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of how to successfully implement change; • Strong communication, stakeholder and relationship leadership skills: you will be managing multiple stakeholders with often conflicting motivations and perspectives.
