We are recruiting on behalf of a busy and growing construction company in Chelmsford who are looking for a reliable Labourer with a Telehandler Forklift Licence to join their site team. This is a hands on role combining general labouring duties with forklift operation. It would suit someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors and being part of a hardworking team. The position offers £120 per day including holiday pay, paid weekly. Working hours are 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays when required. What You’ll Do • Operate a forklift safely to move materials around site • Load and unload deliveries • Support tradespeople and site supervisors with day to day tasks • Carry out general labouring duties such as moving materials, keeping areas tidy and assisting with installations • Ensure materials are stored correctly and safely • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times What We’re Looking For • Valid Telehandler Forklift Licence • Happy to carry out general labouring duties alongside forklift work • Previous experience in construction, building sites or a similar environment • Reliable, punctual and hard working • Good awareness of site health and safety Who Might Suit This Role This role would suit someone currently working as a Construction Labourer, Forklift Driver, FLT Driver, Yard Operative, Site Operative or Warehouse Operative looking to move into site based work. If you have experience in building, groundworks, property maintenance, logistics, distribution or as a production operative and hold a forklift licence, your skills could transfer well into this position.
