The Plant Manager will oversee all operational activities at the designated site to ensure the safe and efficient use of plant equipment, compliance with site permit regulations, and meeting customer expectations in a compliant and customer-friendly manner.
Responsibilities include managing daily plant operations in accordance with license obligations and health and safety procedures, including KPI targets, business objectives, and overall management of site personnel. The role involves working as part of the operations team to ensure the safe, long-term operation of the plant at high utilization, requiring effective resource and manpower management on a daily and hourly basis.
The Plant Manager will provide strong leadership to the operational team, playing a key role in the site's vision for continuous improvement and high engagement levels. Key activities include ensuring optimal plant/equipment performance, providing technical support to maintenance teams, adhering to company standards and legislation, managing a team of engineers and technicians, and maintaining safety compliance.
The role also involves accountability for overall productivity, cost management, supporting financial goals, and maintaining effective communication with staff to support operational effectiveness.
Required Education: High School or equivalent. Preferred Education: Associate's or Engineering degree. COTC certification is advantageous.
Experience in managing KPIs and P&L, operating engineering plants, plant maintenance, and senior-level plant management within complex environments (preferably incineration and combustion). The candidate should demonstrate leadership, teamwork, innovation, customer relationship skills, commercial awareness, analytical skills, and flexibility for a 24/7 fast-paced environment.
