Job Title: Town Planner Location: Leeds, UK Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Town Planner to join our growing team in Leeds. You'll be working across a diverse portfolio of projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, and regeneration schemes, helping to shape the built environment and support sustainable development across Yorkshire and the wider region. You'll play a key role in advising clients, preparing planning applications, and navigating the UK planning system, with the opportunity to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and site appraisals. Provide planning advice to clients across a range of sectors. Engage with local planning authorities, stakeholders, and the public. Monitor planning policy changes and assist with Local Plan representations. Contribute to project management and client communications. Support senior team members with strategic planning work and business development. Requirements: Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related subject. Working toward or already holding RTPI accreditation. 1-4 years' experience in a planning role, ideally within consultancy or local authority. Strong understanding of the UK planning system and current policy landscape. Excellent communication, report writing, and organisational skills. A collaborative mindset and an interest in shaping places and communities.
