Working in the UK Student Recruitment & Outreach team, this role will focus on three main activities:
1. Delivering strategic, regionally based outreach, recruitment, and conversion activities within Berkshire, specifically targeting prospective students from under-represented groups.
2. Leading project-based activities to support Year 13 students, including developing online resources and organizing in-person events for students with contextual offers.
3. Supporting the Henley Business School's widening participation and undergraduate recruitment targets through subject-based activities such as school talks, campus visits, and taster days.
The role involves working independently, managing projects and resources, and representing the University to potential students, parents, and teachers. Building strong networks with schools and colleges is essential to increase applications and acceptances from under-represented groups.
You will have:
* Experience in a post-16 setting within UK student recruitment or outreach roles.
* Experience delivering presentations to diverse post-16 audiences both in person and online.
* Understanding of the widening participation agenda in higher education.
* Knowledge of the UK Higher Education system and recruitment cycle.
* Experience organizing events.
* Experience working with stakeholders and developing relationships.
The role is based in Reading, with some travel to UCAS or third-party fairs.
Safeguarding Requirements and Responsibilities:
* Undertake safeguarding training and adhere to the University’s Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk Policy.
* Consider safeguarding in event and activity risk assessments.
* Report disclosures or concerns using the Safeguarding Incident Form to the Designated Safeguarding Officer.
