Position Overview
Are you ready to power up your career? Finning Power Rental, a global leader in custom rental power solutions, is on the lookout for a passionate Sales Engineer to cover the North and Scotland. With our extensive range of world-class rental equipment, including power generators, load banks, and transformers, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional solutions to our customers.
Your Role
As a Sales Engineer, you will:
* Market Engagement: Generate high-quality sales leads, identify customer needs, and win new clients while nurturing existing relationships. Expect to spend 70% of your time on new business and 30% on account management.
* Sales Plan Development: Craft and execute a strategic Sales Plan for your territory, utilizing digital platforms and historical data. Prepare quotes, deliver technical presentations, and contribute to sales forecasts.
* Receivables Management: Ensure timely payments from your customer base, maintaining strong financial health.
* Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Operations, Applications, Finance, and other teams to ensure top-notch proposals and services for our customers.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A qualification in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
* Relevant engineering and sales experience in the industrial services or rental business.
* A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Experience in contract negotiation and building lasting customer relationships.
* Product knowledge in generators or related technical products, along with market awareness of the rental industry.
* A proven ability to achieve market share growth and maintain customer satisfaction.
