Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their culinary skills and performance.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in accordance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
* Conduct regular quality checks on food items before they are served to guests.
* Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among kitchen staff.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
* Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, culinary methods, and kitchen equipment.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to cater to various customer needs is an advantage.
