We are working with a world-leading engineering company that prides itself on proving the highest quality bespoke products for the heavy plant industry, in the UK and globally.
We are looking for a CNC Machine Setter/Operator to operate CNC Turning Machines with Fanuc/Mitsubishi controls.
The role will involve setting up the machines for production, making adjustments as required and ensuring quality of products in line with the drawing provided.
Day/Hours of Work
Monday Thursday:14:30pm 23:00pm
Friday 14:30pm 20:00pm
Rate of Pay: £14.50 per Hour
**Temp to Perm Opportunity**
The Role:
* Set CNC Turning machines for production and low batch quantities within allocated times
* Make adjustments to the machine settings as required
* Ensure quality expectations, as per drawing and planning are achieved
* Ensure allocated operation times are achieved
* Fill daily activity sheets
* Be aware of and observe personal health and safety, and that of fellow members
* Co-operate with Team Leaders
About you:
* Experience of setting and operating CNC Turning machines of all types of materials for at least 4 years
* Must be conversant with Fanuc/Mitsubishi controls to make routine adjustments
* Must be competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Must be conversant with the use of inspection instruments, to measure diameter, surface texture, roundness, concentricity etc
* Ideally apprentice served in a machining discipline
* Knowledge of good machine working practices
* Good knowledge of the English language, to comprehend health and safety instructions/ training
* Good overall health and fitness
