We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant in our busy dialysis unit.
You will help keep the unit running smoothly by managing stock and supplies, supporting housekeeping tasks, and preparing the clinical area ready for patients attending their dialysis treatment.
This is a hands-on, rewarding role in a fast-paced environment. Whether you have previous experience or new to healthcare, we’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed!
Key Details
Location: Llantrisant Dialysis Unit, Unit 14, Llantrisant Business Park, Pontyclun, CF72 8LF. Free parking available on site.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Saturday on a rolling rota. No Sunday or night shifts!3 x 11.5 hour shifts per week plus an additional top up shift every month.
Salary: £25,652
Your Main Responsibilities
* Provide general assistance to nursing staff with patient care in the treatment room.
* Liaise with transport and other departments in order to arrange appointments.
* Support the unit routine, by escorting patients to the wards, blood specimens and pharmacy errands.
* Monitor and record patients’ weights pre and post dialysis.
* Prepare and serve patients with refreshments.
* Preparation of the clinical area.
* Maintain stocks and supplies within the treatment areas.
* Undertake housekeeping duties.

* Team player with the ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative.
* Willingness to learn.
* Good communication skills.
* Able to demonstrate empathy and sympathy.
* Be detail focused with the ability to meet daily deadlines.
* Flexible to cover the needs of the patients/unit.
