Location: London based or homebased

Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time)

Contract: Permanent

Our client is flexible on hours of work and where this work is done. This role can be based in their London office with hybrid working but can also be done part-time and/or from home.

Do you have experience in supporting managers with employee relations issues? Are you passionate about developing a career in HR and looking for a new challenge? If so, this may be the role for you.

The Organisation & the Role’s Impact:

Our client supports people through change, challenge or crisis. They protect children, support young people and adults and offer direct, practical help to people and communities.

They see first-hand the power of community to shape lives, for better or worse, so they speak up for the importance of this in national and local policymaking, amplify voices and represent their changing needs in the UK today.

They are looking for a confident, friendly, people focused individual with a can-do attitude for this busy HR role. You will bring your knowledge and experience of providing generalist employee relations advice and support to line managers, and the ability to manage your own caseload. You will be joining the organisation as a valuable member of the HR team; supporting the delivery of the HR strategy and providing an excellent HR service, thus enabling our client’s people to thrive.

You should be a resilient, professionally curious person who is enthusiastic about developing a career in HR. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to provide advice and support in a solution focused way.

Benefits:

- an annual paid leave entitlement that commences at 25 working days, rising each April by one day, subject to a maximum of 30 working days plus bank holidays

- up to 6% matched-pension contributions

- flexible working arrangements and new starters have the right to make flexible working requests from day one of employment

- enhanced paid sick leave and paid family leave provisions

- eye care and winter flu jabs vouchers

- cycle to work scheme

- investing in your professional development with ongoing quality training and career development opportunities

Our client is forward looking, ambitious and committed to continuous improvement. They are a people focused, can-do organisation, which strives for excellence in all they do and operates with mutual respect.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory Safer Recruitment checks.

Our client’s commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion:

They are happy to consider any reasonable adjustments that candidates may need during the recruitment process and you will be asked whether you require any adjustments if shortlisted for interview. They also make reasonable adjustments on the job, where required.

They are committed to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in all that they do and welcome applications from all sections of the community. Intersectionality is important to them and they particularly welcome applications from ethnically diverse communities, LGBTQIA+ candidates and disabled candidates because they are committed to increasing the representation of these groups at their organisation. They know that greater diversity will lead to even greater results for communities and strive for their workforce to be truly representative of the diverse communities they support. They offer a guaranteed interview scheme for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role.

To help remove financial barriers to working with our client, they will reimburse travel costs if you are invited to attend an interview in person.

*Ordinarily our client appoints new starters at the starting point of the salary scale (with subsequent annual pay progression), unless you have experience that would justify appointment further up the salary scale or there are any other exceptional reasons.
