A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Safety Manager to join a team and manage the delivery of safety engineering outputs across multiple projects. This role involves leading a team of safety engineers while working with design engineers, project controllers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality safety engineering outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have:
• Leadership skills to manage and support safety engineers at various levels
• Ability to deliver Safety Case Reports and supporting documentation (e.g., Hazard Analysis, FTA, etc.)
• Experience with UK and international safety and system engineering standards, particularly Def Stan 00-056
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
• Proven track record of balancing safety against time and cost constraints to construct convincing safety cases
• Passion for developing team members, including new starters and members of early careers programmes
• Thorough understanding of the integration of safety evaluation processes with systems engineering and product certification
• Good knowledge of complex electronic systems and safety issues
