About The Role

Instructor Mentors play a pivotal role in the apprenticeship journey. They are at the front line, delivering sessions, assessing, and carrying out reviews to ensure apprentices gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours they need to excel. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality, practical, and theoretical learning in Electrical Engineering, supporting apprentices from their first day through to successful completion.

Working closely with employers and colleagues, you’ll design and deliver engaging, industry-relevant training across areas such as installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and testing. You’ll make full use of the facilities at the Nuclear Skills Academy to provide a professional, hands-on learning experience that prepares apprentices for their roles and end-point assessments.

Interview Date: 24th September 2025 (On-Site)

About You

You’ll be at the front line, delivering sessions, assessing, and carrying out reviews. You’ll bring hands-on industry experience, academic excellence, and engaging teaching practice, while being a collaborative team player who contributes to the onward journey at the Nuclear Skills Academy. You will value interdisciplinary collaboration, industry engagement, and work with stakeholders to deliver an outstanding experience. Ideally, you’ll hold – or be willing to work towards – assessing and verifying qualifications, alongside a relevant Electrical Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above. Your mix of technical expertise and commitment to teaching will help shape the next generation of electrical engineering professionals.
