Inclusion and Learner Support Lead

At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate Inclusion and Learner Support Lead to join their expanding team based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with travel across the region and occasional visits to other learner locations when required.
This is a full-time permanent position focused on leading inclusive practice and ensuring that every learner receives the support they need to succeed. This is a non-teaching and non-delivery role that focuses on strategy, coordination, quality assurance, and leadership of learner support across the organisation.
You will play a key role in shaping inclusive practice, supporting delivery teams, and ensuring learners with additional needs receive high quality support throughout their apprenticeship journey.
What you will be doing:
• Lead the development and implementation of an organisation wide inclusion and
learner support strategy
• Oversee wider skills support processes ensuring learner needs are accurately
identified and supported in line with funding and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate support plans and reasonable adjustments for learners with learning
difficulties, disabilities, or additional needs
• Promote a culture of accessibility, inclusion, and high-quality learner support
across the organisation
• Act as a central point of contact for internal teams, employers, and external
agencies to ensure joined up support
• Analyse learner support data and produce reports to support operational and
quality improvement decisions
• Provide guidance on inclusive approaches to Functional Skills and wider skills
development
• Monitor learner progression data and highlight risks, trends and additional
support needs
• Ensure wider skills and inclusion processes meet Department for Education and
Ofsted requirements
• Contribute to self-assessment reports, audits and quality improvement plans
• Lead staff training and professional development relating to inclusive practice,
neurodiversity and reasonable adjustments
• Work with operational leaders to identify improvement opportunities and
strengthen learner outcomes
• Lead wider skills funding claims, audits and quality assurance processes to
ensure compliance and accuracy
What we are looking for:
• Experience in SEND, inclusion, Functional Skills or wider skills support
• Strong understanding of inclusive education, legislation and best practice
• Experience within apprenticeships or vocational training environments would be
beneficial
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to influence and support teams across multiple departments
• Excellent organisation and problem solving skills
• Confidence to manage caseloads, make decisions and coordinate timely learner
interventions
Qualifications:
• Level 3 qualification in Learning Support, Education or a related area would be
desirable
• Relevant industry experience supporting learners with additional needs will also
be considered
Salary and benefits:
• Salary £32,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience
• Full time permanent position
