SmartWorking (Hybrid Working)
Our client offers a SmartWorking policy, allowing up to 12 days per month of remote work from home or a secure UK location, even during leave periods, totaling around 60% remote work.
Role and Main Responsibilities
We seek a Cost Estimator in Basingstoke. Responsibilities include:
* Preparing cost estimates for services, equipment, construction, and subcontracted services based on technical specifications and bills of materials.
* Collaborating with other departments for tender and cost information from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Preparing cost estimating methodology reports, including methodologies, data sources, and assumptions.
* Developing Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) cost estimates aligned with engineering deliverables and company standards.
* Conducting cost trend, price, market analysis, and benchmarking.
* Reviewing third-party and company estimates, analyzing submitted estimates, and adjusting estimates as needed.
* Standardizing systems, procedures, and techniques for cost estimating, and analyzing past cost data.
* Ensuring price information aligns with management sanctions in collaboration with the Job Manager.
Candidate’s qualifications, professional experience, and skills
* Experience in cost estimating for Oil and Gas projects, including upstream, midstream, offshore gas, and LNG projects is preferred.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Expected Duration
Minimum 12 months.
