Operations Team Leader Location: Bruntingthorpe Salary: £36,241 About Us Manheim Vehicle Services provides a full range of vehicle preparation solutions, supporting de-fleet, remarketing, and ready-for-sale services across wholesale and retail channels. What You Will Be Doing As an Operational Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in both yard operations and office-based administrative tasks. You’ll lead a dedicated team, manage day-to-day activity, and ensure vehicles are handled safely, efficiently, and in line with customer processes. This is a hands-on, outdoor role that requires physical fitness and a proactive approach. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of operations assistants and coordinators. Oversee daily vehicle movements across Inbound, Movements, and Outbound areas. Plan resources and manage team performance, including absences, investigations, and disciplinaries. Drive team engagement and maintain a positive, productive work environment. Ensure accurate record-keeping on all MVS systems. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and site compliance. Safely drive vehicles and move items as required across the yard. Ensure loose items are stored properly and securely. Complete scheduled self-assessments, report compliance rates, and escalate non-conformances as needed. Provide excellent communication and act professionally with both customers and team members. Perform other ad hoc duties to support smooth yard operations. What We’re Looking For Confident using digital imaging tools and photography equipment. Strong eye for detail, with a focus on presenting high-quality vehicle imagery. Strong people management, communication and administrative skills and the ability to prioritise effectively, ensuring key service level agreements are met. Excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines. The ability to remain calm and accurate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Comfortable using handheld and tablet technology. Willing to work outdoors in all weather (yard and office-based role).
