Responsibilities
Marine Scheduling & Operational Coordination
1. Schedule marine vessels for cargo loading and delivery to customers, ensuring safe and timely operations.
2. Act as primary point of contact for terminals, ship captains, port agents, harbour authorities, and internal stakeholders.
3. Coordinate daily operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Administration, Compliance & Documentation
4. Approve marine invoices in line with Company standards and requirements.
5. Maintain accurate operational records, documentation, and reports.
6. Ensure compliance with Company operational procedures, safety policies, and external regulatory requirements.
7. Provide administrative support to the Marine Operations Manager and department as needed.
Communication & Cross‑Functional Support
8. Manage internal and external expectations professionally and proactively.
9. Contribute to team objectives, demonstrating cooperation and effective communication.
10. Participate in special projects, reporting tasks, and departmental initiatives as assigned.
General Administrative Support (as aligned with job framework)
11. Prepare reports, presentations, and department correspondence.
12. Schedule meetings, coordinate travel, and support general departmental operations.
13. Provide reception or communication support for visitors and external contacts when required.
Person Specification
Experience & Knowledge
14. Experience in marine tanker operations, logistics scheduling, or port operations strongly preferred.
15. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
16. Ability to manage shifting priorities and maintain strong situational awareness in a time‑critical environment.
Skills & Competencies
17. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
18. Ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
19. Good IT skills, including proficiency with Excel spreadsheets and data input.
20. Ability to work independently under direct supervision and escalate complex issues appropriately.
21. Sound judgment, problem‑solving capability, and ability to multitask.
22. Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to support shared objectives.
Education
23. 1 - 2 years’ experience in an operations, logistics, port agency or marine support role (marine experience highly valuable).
