Overview
We are working with Cadent Gas on the search for 6 Dispatchers. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team in a fast-paced Dispatch Centre. You will be responsible for the on-day allocation of jobs either manually or system driven, ensuring jeopardies are managed correctly for all field resources. With training and development, you will become technically competent and will be able to provide an excellent service to both engineers and the public.

Responsibilities
* Regular communication with engineers and customers to ensure all jobs are acknowledged and attended by the allocated time and to assist with any issues.
* Ensure jobs align with engineers' schedules for the day.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
* Maximise the efficiency of on-day resources.
* Utilise the systems required to maximise effectiveness.
* Support and coach colleagues to achieve individual, team and departmental goals.
* Support the leadership team with resilience events (BCM, incidents).
* Be the first point of contact for Network Supervisors and escalate issues to the relevant supervisor as needed.
* Ensure delivery of the on-day plan, including feedback on operational resourcing and performance issues.
* Carry out all activities in accordance with relevant policies, standards and procedures.

* Able to consistently work towards set objectives and tight deadlines.
* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with a high volume of incoming calls and maintain a calm and professional manner.
* Data input skills (speed and accuracy).
* Logical thinking with the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
* Computer literate with a basic understanding of MS Office packages.
* Attention to detail and data accuracy.
* Able to multitask with a proactive, problem-solving approach.

* Start date: Monday 22 September 2025
* Pay rate: £14.92 per hour
* Contract type: Temporary assignment via agency
* Shift pattern: 12-hour shifts (every 8 weeks) — 4 days on, 4 days off
* Contract: 6-month temporary assignment with a view to extension to 9 months
* Location: Pilot Way Ansty Park, Coventry, CV7 9JU
