The Senior Data Analyst role is within the Business Intelligence Team.
Reporting to the Principal Data Analyst, the post holder will help develop and maintain regular reporting of Trust-wide and service-specific information, enabling the Trust and its services to monitor progress.
Working primarily with tools such as SQL, Power BI, and SSRS, the post holder will ensure that their work aligns with Trust-wide frameworks and strategies, ensuring relevance, consistency, and timeliness.
They will contribute to the development of procedures, including proposing and implementing changes to policies related to their work area.
Building good working relationships with clinical services and other stakeholders, they will provide expert input to projects.
They will ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within scope, escalating issues as appropriate.
The post-holder will contribute to regular reporting processes and develop automated processes to reduce manual work, responding to ad hoc information requests as needed.
They will embed data quality improvement processes into daily and developmental work and may suggest improvements to the clinical information systems used by the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Two roles are available: one until 31st March 2026 and another for 6 months.
The main duties involve processing and presenting information to managers and services in an understandable and decision-relevant format.
This includes analyzing, interpreting, and presenting complex and sensitive information, overcoming barriers to understanding.
Primarily using SSMS and Power BI to deploy data reports and dashboards for internal use.
You will plan, develop, and coordinate the production of complex performance reports to meet the needs of directorates, clinical teams, commissioners, and users, aligned with the Trust's planning schedule.
You will assist in coordinating the workload of the Data Analyst and/or Data Officer to ensure timely provision of information.
