The Role:
This role provides customers with appropriate and well-fitting safety equipment and the knowledge to operate that equipment safely. It coordinates stock issue and return, completing all necessary company and regulatory paperwork
Key responsibilities for the Heliport Technician role include but are not limited to:
1. Manages stock levels at Heliport sites; carries out daily quality checks on suits to ensure they are in full working order before issue; records issue and return of stock items using Survitec systems, ensuring all Survitec assets are logged and tracked appropriately, reporting any missing items
2. Issues survival suits and equipment to flight crew, ensuring a correct fit every time and that equipment is worn correctly by every user
3. Provides safety briefing to users of Survitec equipment, providing expert support and guidance to ensure all equipment is worn and operated correctly
4. Returns used suits for cleaning, inspection and repair
5. Prepares flight paperwork to Survitec and regulatory standard and process
6. Actively seeks opportunity to identify and communicate opportunities to improve process, so they can be considered for implementation across the Survitec business
7. Represents Survitec professionally during customer interactions and uses extensive product knowledge to understand and answer technical questions regarding equipment and its use
8. Helps specialists set up and test new products or processes
9. Carries out quality and maintenance inspections, identifying items for repair or further inspection
10. Develops knowledge and understanding of Survitec policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtains authorisation from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure
11. Follows Survitec Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; identifies and mitigates risks to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of self and others
12. Develops and maintains an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation and industry best practices through ongoing education and reading specialist materials

Experience and qualification
Educated to High School level, with 4 GCSEs or equivalent
1-3 years of experience of delivering high quality work unsupervised
No formal management experience is required for this role
Own Transport required
