Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer – South East / Surrey / Hampshire / Berkshire
Alarm Communications Limited (ACL) is a leading team of fire protection, commercial security and building management systems specialists, based in Surrey. We serve a portfolio of prestigious buildings and landmarks, including high‑end hotels, stadia and educational institutions in and around Greater London. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire & Security Engineer, specifically covering the South East London Area.
Responsibilities
* Work with our established team and look after a selection of key accounts across Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, Commercial and Stadia sectors.
* Carry out maintenance, reactive works, small projects and, when required, larger networked fire alarm systems upgrades.
* Take ownership of a portfolio of large, networked fire alarm systems (e.g. Gent, Advanced, Notifier, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Axxonsoft, Milestone, Salto, Assa Abloy, ACT, Plan, Paxton, Galaxy, Texecom, Cortech) and ensure their effective maintenance and performance.
* Identify system improvements, recommend remedial/upgrades and contribute to continuous service enhancement.
* Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with end‑users through regular review meetings and partnering with the Contract Manager.
* Mentor Apprentices and Junior Engineers and support their training.
Qualifications & Requirements
* At least 2 years’ experience as a Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer.
* Experience maintaining multi‑panel networked fire alarm systems.
* Customer‑oriented with ability to adapt and respond to clients in varying situations.
* Strong attention to detail and able to prioritise and manage time effectively.
* Passion to continue learning and developing skills.
* Desire to install and maintain systems to the highest standards.
