Apprenticeships Available: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Level 3 Early Years Educator Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Duration Level 3 programmes: Around 18 months EPA Level 2 programme: Around 12 months EPA Where will I train? You’ll work with an employer from day one and attend Gen2 training sessions two days per month at one of our centres in: Workington Carlisle Furness Plus, a Gen2 assessor will visit your workplace to check your progress and support your development. What will I learn? You’ll cover important topics through both classroom and on-the-job training, including: Safeguarding and keeping children safe Child development and understanding how young learners grow Health & safety Working as a team Communication & collaboration Promoting equality and inclusion Reflective practice and personal growth You’ll also build a portfolio of your work, take part in regular observations, and have professional discussions with your Gen2 assessor. You must have (or be willing to work towards) Level 2 Maths and English before you finish the apprenticeship. Some flexibility applies depending on your age and the course level. Generally, most will be looking for candidates to have a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 (Grade C) in Maths and English.
