Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team and ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood education. This role involves overseeing daily operations, staff management, and fostering positive relationships with parents and children alike.
Duties
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
* Lead, motivate, and support staff to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
* Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's development in line with early years frameworks.
* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
* Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
* Monitor children's progress through regular assessments and observations.
* Handle administrative tasks including budgeting, staffing schedules, and record keeping.
* Foster a positive team culture that encourages professional development among staff members.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a management role within a nursery or childcare setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively.
* Experience working with children in an educational or childcare capacity is essential.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel if necessary.
