Cellular/Transplant Nurse Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cellular/transplant nurse to join the cellular therapy team. The post holder will be managed by the Lead Ambulatory Haematology Nurse and supported by the Haematology Matron and Cellular Therapy & Transplant Programme Director. The post holder will have managerial responsibility for two band 6 CNSs and will coordinate treatment pathways for patients requiring CAR-T and Haematopoietic stem cell transplants within the Cellular Therapy Program at UHL, ensuring effective and specialised care in collaboration with the cellular therapy consultant team, lead haematology ambulatory nurse, and apheresis coordinators.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead clinically in developing and coordinating pathways for autologous/allogeneic or cellular therapies such as CAR-T.
2. Develop and disseminate policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
3. Ensure safe, effective clinical practice as part of a specialist team, supporting performance, resource management, and providing educational resources to staff and patients.
4. Deliver expert nursing services within the field of cellular (CAR-T) therapy.
5. Manage a caseload of patients referred for cellular therapy and act as a resource for patients, donors, families, and healthcare teams.
6. Support accreditation processes to maintain JACIE standards and participate in quality management programs.
