Restaurant General Manager - Warwick - Up To £50k
What a lovely opportunity this will be for someone - a privately owned, upscale, established & very well known local neighbourhood restaurant in a central Warwick location that is loved by its local clientele. Brilliant owners, that are super down to earth that are going to give you the space to spread your wings & run the site as if it were your own. A small, cosy, straight forward to run operation with a dedicated team - I really get the sense this is going to suit someone who wants to escape the rat race of their current job & take on a role where they can strip away all the complexities of life in a larger company & just enjoy building relationships with some lovely local clientele that genuinely love being in the site, sharing a bottle of wine & incredible food with their partner or friends. Its relaxed, laid back & super friendly - everything you would want from a local neighbourhood restaurant.
The business
Reviews brilliant well - 4.5* across several thousand reviews & not by accident. The front of house team are very well drilled & the kitchen provides incredible, authentic cuisine that is made with care, love & attention.
There is a very strong, established front of house team in place & so the requirement is to bring onboard a commercially astute GM that is both in & across the detail. Someone who can fire the business forward into 2026. There is a structured business plan in place & the Directors are keen to interview candidates that have a proven track record of success.
This is a General Manager role that isn't going to be for everyone. It's aimed at a General Manager who is maybe growing tired of the thankless corporate contingency and all of the daily tick box exercises and the paperwork that goes with it - or a General Manager who think their only two options are to either get a job managing a large team & push for a regional role within 6 - 12 months or set up on their own. It's for a General Manager who knows that there is a lot more to running a restaurant business than just running shifts. It's for those who want the term "my guests" to actually mean something. Perhaps most importantly it's for Managers in companies who don't want to lose the fire in their belly simply because their current company has got nothing else to offer them.
