Do you enjoy managing multiple cases, working across systems and keeping things organised and moving at pace — in a role where your work directly supports fair outcomes for consumers?
4 days from home, 1 set day in Liverpool with the team.
The Motor Ombudsman is the UK’s only dedicated automotive Ombudsman. We resolve disputes between consumers and over 7,500 accredited businesses fairly, independently and at pace. We are growing our Liverpool team and looking for a Case Administrator to join us on a fixed‑term contract until 25 December 2026.
The Role
This is a fast‑paced, system‑heavy, front‑line case administration role requiring strong IT confidence, attention to detail, independent caseload management and professional communication skills. You will manage your own caseload from submission through to case preparation, progression and handover where required, following clear processes and service levels throughout.
4 days working from home each week — 1 set day in the Liverpool office with the whole team.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong IT proficiency across multiple systems, emails, spreadsheets and case management platforms
* Ability to follow detailed computer‑based processes accurately and efficiently
* Experience managing a high‑volume workload, caseload or deadline‑driven administration
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong written and verbal communication skills — professional and adapted to your audience
* Comfortable working to targets and service levels in a fast‑paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
* £26,500 salary per annum pro rata
* Quarterly PEP bonus — up to £795 per quarter
* 10% end‑of‑contract retention bonus on completion of the full contract
* 4 days WFH — 1 day in Liverpool with the full team
* Company pension, sick pay
* Laptop provided, free parking, cycle to work
This role is unlikely to suit candidates who prefer low‑volume administration or roles with limited system use, as it requires strong IT confidence and independent caseload management.
The Motor Ombudsman is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all sections of the community regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.
