Service Delivery Manager, UK – National Messaging

Travel: Business trips within the UK or Europe expected, traveller must be willing
Job Overview
As a member of the Digital team at Airbus Defence & Space, you will be responsible for the reliability, availability and security of National Messaging services in the UK, serving approximately 5,000 users. You will operate within an agile, multi‑functional model, collaborating closely with business partners and product teams to evolve digital capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure reliability, availability and security of National Messaging services for 5,000 users.
* Execute ITIL‑based support processes, including incident, problem, change, configuration and event management.
* Maintain and conclude service agreements with providers.
* Analyse service KPIs and user feedback to propose and implement improvements, enhancing customer satisfaction.
* Manage and report on the planned operating budget.
* Contribute to the definition and delivery of new products and services with the product teams.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in IT Service Management and operational activities, including service provider steering.
* Proven collaboration within large, complex, multicultural enterprise environments.
* Service and customer experience orientation.
* Experience in Crisis / Major Incident Management.
* Contract Management experience for projects and programmes.
* Technical expertise in Messaging and Directory Services, specifically:
o Microsoft Exchange (on‑premise) and messaging protocols.
o Email security gateways such as Cisco ESA, FortiMail, IMSVA.
o Active Directory (user lifecycle, group management).
o Microsoft Office 365 knowledge valued.
