An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a growing and supportive business. Working as part of an established finance team, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and contributing to the continued success of the organisation.ResponsibilitiesPosting and allocating customer receipts, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptlyPerforming regular bank reconciliationsManaging the sales ledger, including customer accounts with complex billing arrangementsOverseeing the purchase ledger and processing supplier payments accurately and on timeMaintaining and updating the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completenessLiaising with colleagues across the business to gather financial information and resolve queriesSupporting the Finance Manager with additional finance and administrative duties as requiredAbout YouMinimum of 3 years' experience within an accounting or finance roleAAT Level 3 qualified or aboveStrong working knowledge of accounting systems, with Sage 200 experience advantageousAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesStrong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationshipsProfessional, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a teamIf you're looking for a varied accounting role where you can develop your skills and progress your finance career, we'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
