Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join an exceptional SEND secondary school catering to students aged 11–19.
The school provides specialist education for around 204 pupils with a diverse range of additional needs, including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism, and complex medical conditions.
Students are supported within a caring, inclusive, and nurturing environment, with access to excellent specialist facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool and a fully equipped sensory room. These resources enable pupils to engage with learning in ways that promote independence, confidence, and overall personal development.

This is a long-term position, subject to a successful trial, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The ideal LSA will:
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
* Have experience of working in a transferable role
* Work with the pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
* Follow personalised curriculum and care plans to meet pupil’s requirements
* Participate in the planning and implementation of the child’s curriculum through lesson planning
* Possess good classroom skills
* Set up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for the pupil
