Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
A well-established logistics and freight company based in Belfast is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in freight operations and a proactive approach to customer service and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate import and export shipments across various modes of transport (road, air, sea).
* Liaise with carriers, agents, and clients to ensure smooth delivery and timely updates.
* Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading and invoices.
* Provide quotations and negotiate rates with suppliers and customers.
* Track shipments and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
* Maintain compliance with international trade regulations.
Desirable Experience:
* Previous experience in a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
* Strong understanding of customs procedures and documentation.
* Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping regulations.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
