In this role, you will join the People and Organisational Development team, providing well-established people services to the organisation, delivering professional and responsive HR, Organisational Development, and Payroll services. This organisation is currently undergoing significant change as they evolve their HR and People services, and they are recruiting for 2 x People Advisor roles to join their established team.
Your new role
You will provide a high-quality, customer-focused professional people service, in line with relevant policies, best practices, and employment legislation, aligning with business objectives. You will support managers and employees to deliver their best to meet the organisation's corporate plan objectives. As a key team member, you will deliver a high-quality, responsive service and contribute to the delivery of the current People Programme.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you should have the following attributes:
* CIPD accredited or willing to obtain a professional HR qualification
* Previous HR generalist experience, including employee relations
* Ability to coach others or willingness to learn coaching skills
* Understanding of employment, payroll, and equality legislation, including HR best practices
* Excellent organisational and analytical skills, capable of managing a diverse and busy workload
* Good communication skills, including influencing, listening, and clear written and verbal presentation
* Strong interpersonal skills that contribute to collaborative working and customer-oriented service
* Familiarity with HR/Payroll systems such as Oracle and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online communication tools
* Experience or understanding of working in partnership with Trade Unions
* Awareness of Data Protection Legislation and Freedom of Information requirements
