A Vacancy at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are recruiting for TG CT1’s to cover potential gaps in our training programme in General Medicine. The posts are full‑time for a fixed term of six months with the potential for extension and will be based at York Hospital. The posts are not part of the formal training programme, but we endeavour to offer post holders the same training and educational opportunities as colleagues in training, including paid study leave. Clinical and educational supervision is provided to enable personal and portfolio development. The estimated start date is the August changeover, alternative dates may be discussed at interview.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
* Comply with the GMC requirements of Duties of a Doctor at all times.
* Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
* Undertake duties as defined within the job description in so far as practicable and in agreement with your clinical director.
* Be responsible and managerially accountable for the reasonable and effective use of any Trust resources that you use and influence, and professionally accountable to the Medical Director.
* On commencement, ensure personal attendance at the Trust’s Corporate Induction.
* Participate in the Trust’s statutory and mandatory training programme.
* Be responsible for the clinical management of in‑patients and out‑patients under your care.
* Comply with Trust policies and procedures where appropriate.
* Ensure that all intellectual property rights of the Trust are observed.
* Maintain detailed working knowledge of safeguarding agenda, its relevant legislation, policy and guidance.
