Mental Health Support Teaching Assistant — Gloucester, Gloucestershire

Full Time 8:30am - 3:30pm
Based in a supportive SEN school environment in Gloucester, you will work closely with students, teachers, teaching assistants, and mental health professionals to provide tailored support that promotes emotional resilience, psychological and emotional well-being, and academic success.
Responsibilities
* Provide empathetic and regular emotional support to students experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, OCD
* Help deliver wellbeing and mental health interventions
* Collaborate with teachers, mental health counselors, and parents to create a learning plan
* Measure and monitor student progress
* Create a safe school atmosphere with an optimistic attitude
Experience & Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children is vital
* Previous experience working with children with mental health issues is beneficial
* Safeguarding Training is required
* A degree is desirable and Level 3 qualifications are required
