This role sits within a central finance team and will take responsibility for the management accounting and financial control of two subsidiary companies within the group. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Senior Management Accountant will play a key role in strengthening reporting, improving controls and supporting compliance during a period of change.
Key responsibilities:
1. Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts with meaningful analysis and commentary
2. Full balance sheet ownership, including reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
3. Day-to-day financial oversight of two group subsidiaries, ensuring consistent standards and controls
4. Oversight and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current legislation
5. Supporting tax compliance in conjunction with external advisers
6. Playing a leading role in the year-end audit process under the direction of the Finance Director
