A highly regarded, forward-thinking law firm in Birmingham — widely recognised within the local and regional legal market — is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Residential Property to lead their well-established conveyancing team.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a respected firm that offers genuine progression to Director level for the right individual.
The Role: As Head of Residential, you will:
* Lead and manage the residential conveyancing department, overseeing fee earners and support staff
* Handle a high-quality caseload of sales, purchases, remortgages, leasehold and freehold transactions
* Play a key role in developing the department’s strategy, client base, and service delivery
* Drive team performance, compliance, and operational efficiency
* Represent the firm in business development, networking, and client relationship management
Requirements: ✅ Significant experience in residential property law, ideally 7+ years PQE
✅ Strong technical ability across all conveyancing matters
✅ Previous experience leading or supervising a team
✅ Excellent commercial awareness and client-facing skills
✅ Ambition to progress into Director-level leadership
