SEN Teaching Assistant

Looking for a full-time role where you can really get to know your pupils and make a difference that sticks? We’re working with a welcoming SEN school in Islington that’s looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join them from January.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity in a specialist setting that supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social emotional needs. The school is calm, well-organised, and genuinely values the adults who support their pupils every day.
What your role will involve
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Helping pupils access learning through structure, patience, and encouragement
Using communication tools, sensory strategies, and clear routines
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
Being a consistent, reassuring presence throughout the school day

A team player who’s reliable, proactive, and happy to learn
Willingness to support with personal care where needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
