Teaching Assistant – January Start Primary School, Gabalfa area (Cardiff) Start: January Role: Teaching Assistant (Full time – Part time) Pay: £89.38 per day Are you looking for a teaching assistant role where you’ll feel welcomed, supported, and part of a positive school community? Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Teaching Assistant starting in January at a friendly primary school in the Gabalfa area of Cardiff. Role Responsibilities • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities across the curriculum (Curriculum for Wales) • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils make progress in literacy, numeracy, and wider learning • Support children with additional learning needs (ALN) where required, adapting support to individual needs • Help maintain a calm, positive learning environment with clear routines and expectations • Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and positive behaviour • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues • Promote wellbeing, inclusion, and safeguarding best practice at all times Candidate Requirements • Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable) • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships • A genuine interest in helping children thrive academically and emotionally • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Why This Roles • Competitive daily pay of £89.38 • Join a school known for supportive leadership, positive staff culture, and a strong community feel • Work in a setting where children are encouraged to feel confident, included, and proud of their progress • Long-term role with consistency, routine, and the chance to make a meaningful impact • Access to a wide range of training opportunities through Teaching Personnel Apply now for more details and to discuss this opportunity further.
