Functional Assessor – PIP (Personal Independence Payment - L3)
Join PFAS (Personal Functional Assessment Services) as a Functional Assessor and help over 36,000 people each year. Your clinical skills as a Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic will be used to conduct assessments and produce fair, evidence‑based reports for individuals applying for PIP as part of the DWP’s Health Assessment and Advisory Service (HAAS).

Responsibilities
* Interview claimants to understand how their disability, condition or illness affects everyday activities
* Carry out detailed assessments via telephone, video or face‑to‑face appointments
* Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports
* Interpret clinical information and evidence
* Maintain professional standards in written communication and adherence to the code of conduct
* Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues while meeting quality and productivity targets
Requirements
* Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, OT or Paramedic)
* Broad clinical knowledge
* Previous experience using computer software including Microsoft Office
Essential Qualifications (applicants lacking any of these will not be considered)
* Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only) and Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
* Physiotherapists/OTs: Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT’s (COT)
* Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Position Details
Salary: £40,000.00
Type: Permanent (Hybrid role)
Full time: 40 hours (Mon – Fri, 8:30 am – 5 pm)
Location: Redhill – must be within 90‑minute radius of the site.
