Help shape the future of fostering
Tree House Care is seeking passionate and experienced professionals to join our Foster Panel. As a panel member, you'll play a vital role in reviewing and assessing foster carer applications, helping ensure children are placed in safe, nurturing homes where they can thrive.
We welcome applications from qualified social workers, as well as professionals from related fields such as education, medical, and police services. If you're committed to supporting children and families and want to contribute to best practice in fostering, this is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact.
What you'll be doing
Panel members carefully consider applications from prospective foster carers and review the progress of existing carers. Through thoughtful discussion and independent oversight, the panel helps maintain high standards of care and provides valuable feedback to support the agency's work.
You will:
* Attend monthly Fostering Panel meetings, held on Monday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, occasionally held virtual.
* Read and reflect on detailed case papers before each meeting (including new fostering applications and annual reviews)
* Join panel meetings and offer informed, balanced recommendations
* Use your professional insight to assess fostering suitability
* Promote diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding throughout the process
* Maintain confidentiality while upholding the values of Tree House Care
* Participate in annual training and development sessions
