The Job
The Maintenance Technician role is a hands-on, practical position focused on supporting the Engineering Department to maintain production reliability, reduce machine breakdowns, and support the production teams. The role is ideal for individuals with production experience and practical mechanical aptitude, not necessarily formal engineering qualifications.
4 x 12 hour shifts per week (inc days / nights)
What you'll do
* Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment
* Carry out minor mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting repairs
* Assist the Engineer in identifying causes of breakdowns and implementing solutions
* Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and issues
* Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime
* Follow all safety and quality procedures
* Participate in a structured training plan to develop knowledge and skills
* Integrate into a production team post-training, taking responsibility for equipment reliability in your assigned area
What you need
* Hands-on experience in production or manufacturing environments
* Basic mechanical aptitude: understanding of machine operation and maintenance
* Ability to identify and fix minor mechanical faults
* Awareness of health & safety requirements in a production environment
* Team-oriented with strong communication skills
* Willingness to learn and develop within the company
What we'd like
* Previous maintenance experience in a production environment
* Knowledge of basic electrical systems
* Experience with preventative maintenance programs

* Completion of a detailed onboarding and training program covering machine operation, maintenance procedures, and reliability practices
