SEMH Teaching Assistant – Salisbury Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Do you want to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and rewarding environment? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and empathetic SEMH Teaching Assistants to join one of our partnered SEN schools in the Salisbury area this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for either full-time or part-time work, with flexible hours to suit your availability. The Role: You will be working closely with students aged 7–16 who have a range of additional needs, primarily SEMH, as well as ADHD, autism, and behavioural difficulties. Your role will involve supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to help them achieve their full potential, both academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Supporting pupils with SEMH and associated needs Delivering tailored interventions to promote engagement and progress Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation Working collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCOs Encouraging social development and positive relationships Ideal Candidates Will Have: Experience working with children with SEMH or SEN (desired but not essential) A patient, resilient and empathetic approach A passion for helping vulnerable young people succeed The ability to build positive relationships and maintain strong boundaries A willingness to undergo safeguarding checks and complete necessary training Why Work with Teaching Personnel?
