About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of scientific concepts, experiments, and investigations, encouraging students to develop their scientific knowledge, understanding, and skills.
* Facilitate student-led research projects, experiments, and presentations, encouraging scientific inquiry, analysis, and communication skills.
* Assess student progress through practical assessments, written assignments, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Science curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current scientific research and best practices in science education.
* Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, science fairs, and participation in science competitions, to enhance student learning and provide opportunities for students to explore their interests.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
* Extensive experience teaching Science to GCSE and A-Level, with a focus on both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and scientific skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* A passion for fostering a love of science and developing scientific inquiry skills in young people.
* Knowledge of a wide range of scientific concepts, experiments, and investigations.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.
