Salary: £32,454 - £40,568 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Havering, RM12 5BF
As a Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the health and safety of staff, contractors and visitors on site, ensuring operations are carried out efficiently, safely and in line with environmental and legislative requirements. You will lead and support the operational team, manage resources effectively and help deliver high-quality service in line with agreed targets and budgets.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Supervising and leading operational teams to ensure safe, efficient and compliant site operations
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards, company policies, procedures and waste management legislation
- Implementing and promoting the companys SHEQ policies and procedures
- Conducting risk assessments, audits, accident investigations and environmental impact reviews
- Managing staff rotas, timesheets, holidays and sickness/absence
- Organising and delivering team briefings, communications and training
- Maintaining operational records, systems and paperwork
- Monitoring performance against targets and KPIs and driving continuous improvement
- Ensuring all staff and contractors are suitably trained and competent for their roles
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
- Experience working within the waste industry or a similar operational environment
- Strong organisational, planning and communication skills
- Experience of conducting audits and maintaining compliance
- IOSH qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Good IT and computer skills
- Full UK driving licence (Category B)
- HGV licence and experience in refuse/recycling collections (desirable)
- A flexible, practical approach, with the ability to lead by example
