We're looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our North West Construction team based in the North West region.
Location: North West - Salford / Speke - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Kier Construction is a tier 1 contractor delivering valuable projects across communities. Tenders may range in value between £10M - £100M+ and will span DfE, Local Authority, MOD, MOJ, Higher Education, Life Sciences and Commercial sectors. The Senior Bid Manager fulfils a key role in Kier Construction, working closely with the wider Senior Management Team and Senior Leadership Team to have a significant influence on the successful tendering of construction projects within the public sector space.
The Senior Bid Manager will formulate and execute bidding strategy through early visibility of opportunities. Working closely with senior stakeholders and business development managers, the Senior Bid Manager will take a key role in the conversion of tenders to preferred bidder status.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Bid Manager, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering successful bids. Your day to day will include:
* Taking up early involvement opportunities with clients to fully understand needs, identify opportunities and tailor bid strategy
* Arranging and chairing Bid Meetings with relevant stakeholders, ensuring accurate and effective communication to set strategy, timescales and input obligations
* Driving engagement and collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure timely receipt of technical information pertaining to bids
* Guiding, reviewing and editing bid writing output to ensure that returns are in line with the bid vision and interrogating information received from internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy
* Attending feedback sessions with the client, coordinating tender queries and amendments, and presenting comfortably to both internal and external stakeholders
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Bid Manager is great for you if:
* You hold a degree level or equivalent qualification within a relevant discipline (Project Management, Construction Management, Design or Commercial Management)
* You have previous experience of managing bid services within a tier 1 construction environment
* You possess strong construction market knowledge gained within a role at large construction contractors
* You have expert understanding of the principles of framework procurement and experience with the most current forms of procurement
* You hold a Full driving licence
