This is an exciting opportunity with a passion for quality improvement and project management to help deliver pathway improvement for cancer patients in our area. Working with a wide range of operational and clinical colleagues to identify pathway improvement opportunities and use QI tools and techniques to deliver and enable sustainable change. This is a fixed term role that will delivery lasting change.
Main duties of the job
Working with key stakeholders, develop and agree clear, evidence based pathway improvement plans for our cancer services. Including but not limited to Pathway Analysis, MDT streamlining and Best Practice timed pathway implementation.
Using evidence gathered through data collection, monitoring and analysis to identify, review and prepare a range of options for consideration where appropriate to support sustainable change.
Analyse National and/or Regional agreements and/or guidance, interpreting such information in relation to our local cancer pathways. Identify options to be reviewed and make recommendations to the appropriate Group or Board.
Effectively plan and organise all relevant elements of the Improvement projects. The key elements include the ongoing review of the Trust Improvement Plan and the identification of appropriate amendments, alongside providing and analysing data from QI tools.
This role will be based at Scarborough Hospital with travel between hospital sites and other locations in the area. The Trust has a pool car facility so your ow transport is not required.

Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
8. Demonstrable experience in using recognised quality improvement tools and techniques alongside project management in specialist area
9. Expert knowledge of MS Excel to enable creation, manipulation and analysis of datasets
10. Experience and competent in using word processing and presentation to effectively report and present complex information
11. Experience of managing and delivering change effectively on complex projects
12. Experience of managing complex improvement projects
13. Knowledge of the NHS Long Term Plan
14. Knowledge of the NHS Core20PLUS5 approach to health inequalities
15. Experience of undertaking complex surveys relating to projects
Desirable criteria
16. Experience of working in an NHS acute hospital
17. Experience of working on complex and multiple improvements\projects including a wide range of stakeholders
Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
18. Educated to degree level or equivalent
19. Experience of leading complex quality improvement projects using recognised tools and techniques to sustain improvements made through QSIR or equivalent
20. Project Management knowledge, techniques and tools, either acquired through a postgraduate qualification (e.g. PRINCE II) or via experience of managing and completing complex projects
Desirable criteria
21. Educated to Masters level, including modules in managing change
